Kentucy Virtual Library	A good resource, especially good at explaining 'how to' do a research project. A good place to start teaching information literacy.

	Need a dictionary? Here's one of the best.
	What happened on your birthday? Do you share a birthday with a world leader? Want historical facts from this date in the Old West, the Civil War, literary history, true crime, and more? Search HistoryChannel.com's giant database of historic trivia and events for any date of the year. Send historic e-Postcards too!
	How well do you know the world? Can you name the 50 states on a map? How about the nations of Africa? Or the islands of Oceania? These simple, free games test your ability to locate and name nations and capitals on a map. Are you up to the challenge?

NCLB Research Worth Reading
	U.S. DOE web site on the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 posts the latest news and resources. A nice index makes it easy to find specific information, including a Parents Guide to NCLB.
	Resource from Learning First Alliance, with key provisions and time line. This would make a great handout.
	This site serves as a central and independent source of scientifically based evidence, as required by NCLB on 'What Works' in K-12 education.
Literature and Books
	Sunshine State Young Readers' awards. A great site for great childrens literature!
	The Children's Literature Web Guide. This site is FANTASTIC, a 'must see'.
