Welcome to Inverness Primary School! Inverness Primary School is located in Citrus County. Citrus County is located in the heart of Florida's magnificent Nature Coast and is situated 65 miles north of Tampa and St. Petersburg. Citrus County is home to hundreds of crystal lakes, rolling hills, and miles of unspoiled coastline.
Inverness Primary School sits on an 11 acre site, with 6 permanent buildings. We have been in our present building for over 40 years. We are fortunate to have a high rate of parental involvement. We have a very active PTA and are certified by the National PTA as a Parent Involvement School of Excellence. Our school is a Title 1 school. We offer a full range of services of a school psychologist, speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, guidance counselor, exceptional student education teachers, gifted education teachers, curriculum specialist, and a Exceptional Student Education Specialist. Educational programs offered in addition to the regular curriculum include E.S.O.L. (English for Speakers of Other Languages), physical education, art, music, media, technology, SuccessMaker Lab, Accelerated Reading, and Accelerated Math.
82% of our staff are returning instructional staff members. 100% of our teachers are teaching in-field. 100% of our staff members received satisfactory annual evaluations. 34% of our teachers hold degrees beyond the bachelor's level.
