Vocabulary:

A weekly list is sent home.  I focus on six words.  Have your children

• Use it in a sentence
• Act it out
• Tell you what it means in their own words
• Draw a picture of it

Writing:

Please work with your child at home by
reminding them to speak using complete sentences. Make sure that every written sentence has a capital letter, ending punctuation, and makes sense.

Spelling:

Some fun ways to practice spelling are:

• to get a plate and spread some pudding.  Have them write the words with their finger.
• Sidewalk chalk
• Magnet letters
• Scrabble tiles
